Behind the scenes at Passoni

Expertise and passion for crafting made-to-measure bikes are at the heart of the Italian bike brand, Passoni.

Passoni is a brand steeped in cycling history. A passion for cycling and its culture has always been at the heart of Passoni’s identity as they have spent the last 30 years building stunning machines for those with a true appreciation of fine craftsmanship. 

And so it was a great opportunity to showcase this passion when Shimano decided to feature Passoni in a new video series "MADE IN:", a series dedicated to the new GRX groupset limited edition.

At the end of 2022, the Passoni team spent a few days with Shimano at their atelier in Milan, to let them see behind the entire production process and share some secrets about their handmade titanium.

The team was quick to let the bike speak for itself, and Passoni took the Shimano team to their favourite gravel ride along the ridge above Lake Como, heading north before dropping down toward Bellagio. The mythical landscape of Como, and the elevation profile of this specific ride, were the inspiration for the fork paintwork and the riding characteristics of Passoni's Cicloprato. 

This video is a great opportunity to see what is behind Passoni, more than just the titanium tubes, but how passion pushes the team at Passoni to raise the bar, every day. The video features the team of artisans at Passoni who create pieces of art in these dream bikes for cyclists all over the world, including for customers of MC.
