Meet Josh as he joins Team MC
Josh Heffernan has joined the MC Team as Assistant Store Manager, alongside Store Manager Max.
Many of you will know Josh from MC bunch riding and our Velo riding community. But here's a bit more about Josh...
Josh began cycling as it was his least expensive way of getting to work when he first moved to live in the city. His first roadie was an Apollo Eclipse that he absolutely battered, through which he fell in love with riding. This included getting involved in the retro bike buy and sell scene where he restores and repairs old metal to recreate something from cycling's most picturesque era.
In 2019 Josh started riding with MC bunches and in the tail end of 2020 began racing "which has been fantastic!" Josh says that "cycling is a perfect mix of pushing yourself to the absolute physical limit whether it be solo or against your mates and relaxing while enjoying time on the bike. Oh...and the park up for coffee and a pastry!"
As part of his role, Josh will be developing our MC Velo community and will be the ‘go-to’ person for all members. Josh will be sharing responsibility for the MCV ride calendar and taking a lead on ride and route planning, social events, and other club activities.
