In just a few weeks time we will be relocating from our original store location where we’ve  been operating in Maroubra since 1975. It is your same MC with great enhancements.

This is an exciting new chapter for us and we are targeting a missing experiential element of a Cycling Clubhouse in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. It takes MC’s riding and social club, MC Velo, to the next level, with an amazing clubhouse to meet, hangout and socialise. It is a new location for cycling community events and launches, but many things won’t change - we will continue to bring the same MC values and service excellence to a new location.

We’ll also be launching with some exciting and new brand partners across all our categories, including bikes, apparel, accessories.

Our new Clubhouse will be in Kensington - only 4.5kms along Anzac Parade, closer to Sydney’s CBD, directly opposite the brand new ESMarks light rail stop, and next to “cycling central” Centennial Park.

We have compiled some FAQs to fill you in on this exciting move.

How far is the new store from the current location in Maroubra?

The new location for MC is only 4kms along Anzac Parade, in Kensington. It is close to Centennial Park, on the light rail and bus lines along Anzac Parade, and halfway between the city and Maroubra.

Why are you moving from Maroubra?

We wanted to offer more than the traditional retail model and see an opportunity for a Clubhouse that combines the best elements of the local bike store, bringing retail product and workshop service, but also with great coffee in a place to socialise or catch up on last night’s Tour stage on the big screen from the comfort of a lounge, alongside cycling reading and amazing memorabilia.

The new location allows for something different for our MC Velo members, local cyclists, and visitors.

What are the details/address of the new location?

The new Clubhouse will be at 88 Anzac parade, Kensington (at the corner of Goodwood St and Anzac Parade).

This is at the foot of a new retail & residential complex, opposite Peter’s of Kensington.

When is MC moving?

We are busy fitting the store and working hard to be operating at the new location in August.

Will we have a coffee offer?

Whilst there are cafes near the new MC Clubhouse, we will also be featuring barista coffee at the new location. This will provide pre and post ride coffee and refreshments (hot and cold) with a signature MC Roast Blend.

When will we need to drop-off/pickup services bikes from the new location?

We will confirm when we are up and running. Until then, it is business as usual at Maroubra.

If have a bike in service, what will happen to it?

It’s business as usual. We will be aiming to have all bikes serviced and picked up prior to moving the store - we will make contact with you if this may affect you.

Is there parking available at the new store?

There is ample 2 hour secure and free retail car parking available below the new store, which provides easy access for bikes (ramp & lifts) to the store at street level. There is also ample street parking around the corner in Goodwood St.

Will you continue to operate the service valet?

The valet will continue to operate as normal, including benefits for MC Velo members.

Will you be extending servicing to e-bikes?

The workshop will also be fitted with a stand appropriate for e-bikes. We see the benefit and market for e-bike sales and service and have this in mind for the new fitout.

Will regular MC rides change?

We will take the opportunity of the new location to change up regular ride routes and rendez-vous points. We anticipate most rides starting and finishing at the Clubhouse.

When will ride routes change?

This will happen the store has moved and we have finalised ride dynamics and most importantly, coffee. Lots of notice will be provided for changes to regular ride routes.

What are the new features?

The clubhouse will offer all the MC services (retail, workshop, bike fit) you know today, as well as seating, lounge, coffee, TV.

The clubhouse will also bring new cycling brand partnerships - so watch this space for exciting new developments.

Will the Clubhouse have coffee in-store?

Is that really a question? It sure will !

Do you plan to offer food in-store?

We are not planning to operate an extensive food menu or cafe style seating. We are looking to have day appropriate snacks, such as pastries, available alongside our amazing coffee as the new space beds in.

Will the Clubhouse be used for social events?

Yes, the new location will be available for MC Velo events (TDF, film screenings, drinks, social, post ride), also educational classes, and for brand partner events or launches. Full catering can also be arranged for events - for further details, contact

We are truly excited by this new chapter for MC and adding even more to the Sydney cycling community. We will keep you updated on progress here.
